Tres Rios Fly Fishing & Adventure
2013-14 Season Gallery
This was our 15th season and we had more fun than ever. I am still gathering photos and trying to find time to add a little text, but in the meantime you can get a pretty good idea of the fishing from these images.
Dr. K and his daughter came early on a scouting run. The bigger group is coming in March 2015.
Michael and Hein have been in the gallery in other seasons. They both came back to share the Patagonia experience with family this time.
We watched this massive brown charge out of submerged logs in the Maullin to grab a bombero. It was Jade's largest brown of all times and it would have been mine (John), too. It was the El Chunko of the season.
Zack came during horsefly season which is also one of the peak trout fishing periods. The fly fishing is so good that you kind of forget about them....kinda.
Jean Pierre and Mario came from Switzerland specifically to fish for Chinook Salmon. No problem.
The AFT amigos were back again this season and had some good fly fishing for trout, but the salmon fishing was so good that we got a little carried away with it. It's hard to concentrate on trout with 30 to 40 pound salmon breaching all around you.
If you've looked at the other galleries on this site you will recognize these these familiar faces. Rick and Carl come just about every season. This year we fished for three weeks between the Puerto Varas area and a Road Trip in the Mañihuales to Chile Chico areas. Here's a small sample.
